Has anyone else on the west coast recieve a special viewing pass for the STi in the mail today for Jan. 11th?
I just went out to get the mail and my subscription of autoweek, when there it was,
a package from SOA western reion.
Inside was a letter, an admission ticket, a viewing pass , and an STi keychain/light.
The letter reads:
Greetings!
We are pleased to invite you to a special preview showing of the all-new 2004 Subaru WRX STi at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 11th! You will be among the first consumers to see the ultimate car that Subaru has to offer! The STi will not be shown at the L.A. Auto Show, so this will be your only chance to see this car until it arrives at dealerships sometime next year.
The event will run from 10:00AM-1:00Pm, and we have a spectacular programlined-up for you! In attendance will be a representative from Subaru Product Planning who will giveyou insight into the development of the vehicle and will field your questions. Mark Lovell of Subaru Rally Team USA will also be on hand to talk to you and sign autographs. Representetives from Prodrive USA will be there with a Prodrive-equipped WRX and can give you information on enhancement parts that they offer. L.A.-based Easy Street Mototrsports will also have a car on display at the event.
Perhaps the best part of the show will be the opportunity to not only look at the STi, but to sit inside the car and really check it out. This is something that you definitely would not be able to do at an auto show!
Enclosed in this envelope, you will find a limited-edition event pass that will give you up-close access to the STi. You must bring this pass in order to fully experience the STi for yourself! You will also find a genuine STi keychain and neck lanyard; these items are NOT available in the United States and were special ordered from Japan just for this event. WE hope that you like them! You will also find an admission ticket to the Petesen Museum. Disregard the Senior/Child designations on the ticket; the museum will honor the pass and admit you.
We hope that you are as excited about the WRX STi as we are! The car you have been reading about and waiting for will be here soon, and it will rewrite the book on bang-for-the-buck factory performance cars! We look forward to seeing you at the Petersen Automotive Meseum!
Sincerely,
Brent Gunderson
