the interesting is that they consider the R32 would be equal if it had better rubber. I am inclined to believe that it may not be enough.
I like the understated style on the VW. I also wonder if the insurance rates will be better in it as well.

My insurance premiums for my STi are $86 less per year than they were for my 2000 VW GTI VR6. I can't imagine a $28k version of that car with more HP would be less than the STI.
