k, i was just browsing the evo forums and a guy who works for mistubishi was telling them about the evo he saw at the set-up up day for the la auto show. He then goes and says that subaru rolled in a day later with their lineup and "covered in their domestic lineup centerpiece is their 'Evo Fighter'" and the "wing on this thing seems to be bigger than the evo8s".
So does this mean the sti is going to be unvailed at the la auto show? i thought it was supposed to be at detroit.

here is my .02. I got an e-mail saying that the Evo will be released at the LA Auto Show on the 3rd of January. I believe that the STi will probably be released at the Detroit Auto Show on the 6th. I think 3 days isn't that big of a deal to release a vehicle.

If Subaru shows the STi at the LA Autoshow then that will make me wrong two times on the same subject. Will I go for a third and make any further conjecture. Hmm, not at this point.

I think I will do some further checking though.

I cannot think of any reason that SOA would show the old WRC car or even the new WRC car at LA iunstead of just waiting to show at Detroit.

I think they might show in LA b/c the Evo will be...who knows. I don't care, I only care when it comes out and if it comes with what we all are hoping and expecting.

Just because they might be showing it in LA doesn't mean that's the unveiling. They can do the official unveiling to the press in Detroit and still show the car in LA if they've worked out all those logistics issues we heard about a while back.

I just looked at the press conference schedule for tomorow and friday. FWIW, Subaru was not on there...

Mitsu is at 11:55AM Pacific Time on Friday, and I think it will be worth it to see what they have going on...
