I got a hunk of metal in my right rear tire the other day and had a slow leak. I took the tire off to get it patched (my usual tire place said don't plug it) and I found something strange.

It is a hair scrunchy that girls use to hold a pony tail. I was quite surprised. It must have been put on during assembly because there is no way to get it on without removing the shock. It is not tied on either. A japanese beauty must have put it on there at the end of a hard day of assembling sti suspensions. Kind of funny. I am going to try and post a pic.

Oh...you know what. I bet I know what that is fellas. Several guys at NASIOC have said they have found plastic bags around their suspensions after taking delivery. Apparently that is something that should be removed during the PDI.

I bet that is something that holds that bag on. Sorry to smash your dreams of that hot little Oriental girl throwing your suspension in!

Use Microsoft Photo Editor...Image...resize. I'm sure you can make it smaller in Photoshop as well.

I don't know, that really looks like a hair scrunchy. I wonder if I have one. :)

Maybe Fuji Heavy Industries makes hair scrunchies and they ran out of rubber bands one day so...

Well, I guess this pic shoots down my whole beautiful sailor suit wearing sti shock assembler. I found it on the ralipsec.com website. I even e-mailed them to see if they knew what they were used for. They did not know. Oh well, we can always dream.

heard it before....stereo question

Like my buddy Clone said . . . the "scrunchy" held a plastic bag over the strut. I heard something about lazy . . . Pull hard and the rubber bands will break. (I've been sworn to secrecy as to the source of this information.) Aw heck, keep dreamin' !
