Held an STi 4-pot front caliper today

Saw one of those today too. I can help you get them, supposedley they are like 12,500 for the entire driveline (diffs and all).

Not too much different looking than a regular transmission since they didn't have it apart. You can see the oil cooling unit though. Nice unit and I've got pics which will be up soon!!

I was under the impression that the 6 speed was a standard feature on the STi.

Can you explain what you meant by $12,500?

6 speed $12,500 extra?

The $12,500 is if you want to buy one for your WRX (or whatever other Subaru you want to use it on). It is standard for the STi.

You can get the 6spd on that website i posted for like 5500 or 6500 but i am not sure if it is just the gears or the whole Tranny

For $6500 you'd hope it's the whole thing. But the picture does show only the gears, hmm. :-?

JJ did mention the tranny looks like the regular 5 speed so maybe it is just a gear package.

Correct: the Sti wagon is available as a JDM model

It's not a gear package, it's a whole transmission, if it's the "real deal" STi box. Who's offering that, BTW?
