Homer: "Mmmmm... 299 lb-ft of torque..."

Remember that the US WRX got just over 5% more power than the UK version. Translating that to the STi is consistent with the latest 270+ hp rumors for the US. So I would expect sweeeet results from a similar Prodrive USA package, if it ever comes to pass. Crossing the fingers...

It will come to pass. :D I HOPE. :)

If we already start higher, then theoretically we should be able to get a higher HP rating out of this kit. As in over 300HP. :p :p

Is the 03 model in the UK the same as what we will be getting as a 04 model?

Confused about whether that is for the new STi or the older one. If it's the older one, that's kinda old news. Hopefully that's the new twin-scroll equiped STi.

STi Spark plugs

I don't agree with the 13.4 sec. quarter mile time. My car is in the high 12's. I don't understand this though. Can someone explain? I've got the Japan spec STi with an exhaust, downpipe and K&N replacement filter.

Yes, those 1/4 mile times seem very slow. According to this story, a stock UK spec STi (265HP) runs a 14 flat in the 1/4 mile. That is about the same as a good driver piloting the U.S 227HP WRX. I would think the STi version that is coming to the states (275HP) should run around 13.4 stock ,and some basic bolt-on parts, as Kevin has, should put you knocking on the 12 second door.
