I'm #1 at my local dealer for an Sti. I spoke with my salesperson a few
days ago inquiring about my car and she said that Subaru informed
her that the Sti won't be here now until late July. Anyone else hear
anything?

I have heard late May, early June. But I am sure the delivery date will be different depending on US or Canada, east or west coast, and dealer to dealer. I have also heard that the dealers will get their full alotment at once (or at least those who have coming only a handfull of cars anyway).

I talked to my dealer yesterday and they expect to receive the cars in late May/early June. They will get 2 cars in the 1st month and 1 car per month thereafter.

Well, we'll see. I think it would be pretty short notice that no one has a firm confirmation of an order actually being placed, yet the car will be here in a month?

I'm going to lean toward later (June/July). Either way...just get the things here!

i was told june 10th, take it or leave it but thats what i was told and this source comes from here and japan...... :roll:

Alls i know is im reciving mine when i come back from my vacation in the middle of july unflrtuantly ill be gone for 2 months outta the country....

I really hope its late may or june. If its late july then that just plain sucks. That only leaves maybe 4 full months to drive it before storing it for winter where i live.

I spoke to my dealer again. This time he also mentioned that Subaru will ship 1050 cars during the first month (according to him that would be late May early June) and 750 cars during the following month. In addition, according to him, since he placed my order with SOA, I should be getting the color/wheel combo I asked for.

East Coast vs West... Why East coast is getting more/faster deliveries?
Isn't Japan closer to West coast?
Seems that East coast is getting most of the '04 WRX..

Subaru headquarters are in PHILY!!! NJ is right there...

I personally seen many many pre-production cars.. Seen 760 Li for about a year now, it supposedly was JUST introduced to US..

I think, and trying to speak from expierence but not quite sure about NJ, that the plate on that STi was a "dealer-type" plate. Again, not sure though.

those look like normal plates..
dealer plates have DLR on the bottom, regular numbers & letters..
