So my car since yesterday has been acting weird. I have a 2016 sti limited and when I step on it between 1st and 2nd the car makes a weird clunking noise on the drivers side as if something is loose. And also the gear shifter is slightly leaned to the right and not centered. I’m aware this doesn’t sound good at all but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. When you drive slow and calm and don’t step on it the gears switch like butter. This is my daily driver so any help asap would be super helpful. And If it helps all I have installed in the car is a Cobb stage 1+ Map with a Perrin catback, and a Perrin intake. I also, recently just got my clutch changed by Subaru about 2 and a half months ago. Thank you guys, God bless.

Did your clutch need to be changed? I got a 2015 STI with 91K mileage and I'm still on my stock clutch. Now granted I don't have any power mods like you.
To answer your initial question I get a weird clunking sound when I hard/fast shift mine at high RPM. The exception to mine, is that it does it no matter the gear I go into and it sound like it comes from the front passenger side. I just don't hard/fast shift mine and it seems fine. Its been doing it since I had it at like 8,800 miles.

Mine is loose, never noticed if it leans to one side or the other. I got polyurethane shifter bushing, both rear and linkage bushing, it didn't clean it up much. I think it might be the springs in the shifter that are worn. FYI changing out the bushing are a PITA. So if you do it. I recommend changing out the shifter too if you plan to go short shifter. So you can do it all at once.

Cobbs OTS tune is meant to be for Cobb parts only. I'd suggest getting a custom tune and getting off that OTS map from Cobb. When you hear this noise does it go away when you put the clutch in then noise continues?
