Friend of mine just told me that a new STI(hopefully USA spec) is at the Dealer(Ramsey's Pontiac) parking lot in Des Moines... I will go check it out in my lunch break hopefully...

I've seen two different STI badged WRXs here in the Phoenix area. They also both had gold wheels. Neither of them is actually an STI, in both cases they are WRXs that had after market STI parts (including the badges) installed. There's a tuning facility here that apparently imports the parts from Australia. I'm sure there are other ways to spot an STI other than the exterior badging and wheels but I'm not certain how (the interior maybe?). Any ways, the point of all this is that just because is looks like and STI and says STI, doesn't necesarily mean it is one. OF course, either way, if it's there I'd love to see the pics

I went to the dealer and they said they have had no STI , and won't have any until next sping... I guess someone got confused or had misinformation... Oh well

Well, at least it's another dealer that I heard say next spring for an STi. Now if Subaru would just officially announce it.

Did it have the "STi" embossed muffler, six speed, Brembo's, larger hood scoop with water spray aparatus and/or red "STi" logo on the IC?

Hey talontsiawd, how does your turbocharged car do in the extreme heat in phoenix? I ask 'cause we go to phoenix once in a while to see relatives, and also go to the high desert in CA a whole lot (well over 110F in the summer). Curious if a turbo timer would ever be able to shut the car off safely in the summer. Also, any overheating problems with the DSM?
