I owned a 2002 WRX and ran the SSR 17" rims which worked fantastically. My plan was to use these rims as track rims on my STI. However, these rims do not fit over the STI's Brembo calipers...not even close. I believe tire rack is working on finding an aftermarket rim that will work but do not have a solution as of yet. If anyone has successfully bolted on an aftermarket rim please let me know where to buy.

I have a set of the Ropta SDR's that are 'supposed' to fit. If anyone wants to bring their STi by we can test fit them :D BTW I'm near Buffalo NY.

I should have my STi within a couple of weeks, I will confirm then if no one else does in the meantime.

Has Anyone Paid Under MSRP?

I saw some on a website but I dont remember where right now and they were about $800 a rim. They appeared to be factory.

STi understeer...and solution?

After looking at the prices and weights one more time, I really want SSR Competetions to fit. Maybe the 17x8 or 17x8.5's will fit? Probably wishful thinking. Otherwise it is Fikse or Kinesis. Expensive and somewhat heavier, but can be custom fit.

here's some pics of the SDR's and the caliper clearance around the spokes. There's actually more room than the stock BBS.

Oh yeah! Kick ass!

Yes, please take full side pics. Those are some great looking rims.

The price fromt that site seems right on par. That's the same price subydude.com has em for.

Has anyone seen these in 18s though? I'd rather have the bigger rim I think...unless the profile would get too small. What is our stock tire profile size?

I'll take pics of the car with the full autoX setup this Saturday at a school I am instructing at.

I personally wouldn't go with 18's just because of weight and more importantly rotating mass.

These are the Prodrive one, but basically the same looking rim in a different finish. These pics were posted a while ago and I have been looking at those rims ever since. They are definitely at the top of my list.
