Sti 2010 questions

806 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Losail_GP
Hi guys
As few others posted, I just bought Sti 2010 it has the following:

Invidia catless Downpipe
- Invidia Ti 3" full exhaust system, recently installed.
- Perrin front mount intercooler
- AEM cold air intake
- AMS fuel regulator and gauge
- ECU reflashed running 19psi at 3000rpm, going down to 14psi before the redline.

1st Question:
Is it good reflushinh for daily use?

2nd Question: the best I can confirm the above reflushing, monitor the car performance & settings. ? Without playing with existing.

3rd Question:
It was reflushed on 89 octane fuel, & where I am at the fuel octane available are 90, 95, & 97.
Is there any problem if I use higher
octane ?

Thanks in advance.

1. How are we supposed to know?

2. Gauges. Boost, oil temp/pressure, wideband AFR. Though if you don't know what the numbers mean they will be of no use.

3. Who flashed a car for midgrade 89 octane? :eek2:

3. Why flashed a car for midgrade 89 octane? :eek2:

1 - having this boost figures (ECU reflashed running 19psi at 3000rpm, going down to 14psi before the redline.)
Is it good /safe for daily use?

2- I know what those no's mean as I have common basic understanding of Motorsport (not into deep details of settings & tunning)
& used 2 have 2002 Wrx few years back.
Will install gauges soon & will keep track of readings.

3- reflushed on 89 octane, because that's the available fuel octane in the country I bought it from.

Thanks

There is only one person who can answer all those questions for you, and thats the person who tuned your car.

If you can't contact that person, you should probably have the car retuned. 19psi on 89 octane fuel seems pretty aggressive but its all just a guess.

I'm using 97 octane now
And will try to contact him ASAP

Thanks a lot .
