I Just thought I start of by saying that Zapco Amps are great! I have tried soundstream and all other sorts of amps in my days. I still have not gotten the controled bass and sound quality that zapco has given me. I would not install anything else. Unless someone has actually heard zapco and thought another brand was better.

Hispanics: Are you right!!!!got one in my STI and it is the greatest. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Sound is super. I did not put in a sub, and I am not losing any bass. Had not heard of the Zapco before the installer told me about it, and glad I went with it. Fits in nice mounted on the back seat in the trunk. SFRinNJ

Reguarding the Zapco amps, tell me more. Are you saying that you get good bass from just the regular speakers? Not having a sub would be nice as it is extra weight. I'm not looking for the boom-boom bend the sheet metal loud, but a nice quality audio that isn't lacking in any frequeny range.

Zapco amps provide great sound quality and bass response. It controls the woofer better than any amp I've heard. By this I mean the ablilty to drive the woofer forward and backward in a controled manner. Not uncontroled like many over rated amps. Also the reproduction of sound is just amazing! Very true studio quality sound. Clean and crisp! They are definetly an audiofile product.
MX270 as far as getting good bass from just regular speakers......I don't think so. But that is a matter of preference. Zapco will drive a high quality speaker better than any other amp. But it is not a cure for no subs!

MX270A: I have MB quarts in the car (6 of them). I get a lot of bass, but like Hispanics says it can't replace the sub. I just have more than enough bass for my needs that I am fine with the result. I didn't want the sub, mostly for space. Personal taste is going to be the deciding factor. Only you can decide. You can pm me if you need me to go into more detail about the subtlties. SFRinNJ
