A little analysis I just did for what it is worth.

The UK WRX is 19995 pounds on the road which is about $29,500. A US Spec WRX is about $25,500 on the road. So UK prices are about 13% higher than the US for the WRX. (On the road means all sales tax, license, plates, delivery etc.)

The UK spec Sti is list 24995 pounds on the road which is about $37,000. You can get them for 23,500 pounds on the road or $35,250. US adjusted price would be $30,300. You can get the Sti for $26,000 on the road with the PPP performance pack. $39,000. US adjusted price would be $33,500. You can get an Sti in the UK on about 4 weeks delivery right now.

So in the UK the Sti is 4500 pounds more which is $6750. Even if we added this to the US WRX price would would only be at $32,000 on the road.

As cars in the UK are more expensive anyway. I think $30k-$32k will be the high end price for the new Sti.

I really cannot see the Sti at $35-38k.

hey well if you go to www.motortrend.com they talk about the sti and they say that the car is going to be 30,000.00 to keep up with the EVO! so i hope that price stays in that range

ok well if you think 30-$32 does that mean MSRP or thats max prices?? cause you know the dealer is gonna rack up that price up 2-4 grand more than the 30's so the car might end up being $34 to $36 so really the dealers are the ones that r gonna screw us!! :roll:

32k would be the base price. Before any options, taxes, fees, titles, dealer "market adjusments", etc.

Hey there Cecilia. If you talk to any dealership that is going to raise the price then you tell them to stuff their "Marketing Allowance" where the sun doesn't shine. There are plenty of dealers like myself that won't charge a dime over MSRP.

I wonder how many options will be listed for the car. Probably stereo and that's about it.

Of course there will be accessories like wheel locks, etc, etc.

To my knowledge, the only options that are coming with the car is the radio. I think that everything else will be standard. Probably just gauges as accessories. Just guessing still until Subaru tells me more.
