So I wrote BP about the octane rating of thier various fuels. We know that in Japan, for instance, Subaru calls for a RON rating of 98 MINIMUM, and the UK Spec calls for 95 MINIMUM.
Well, guess what? Our gasoline is rated as far as octane goes using a method called RON+MON/2. I emailed bp and asked them for these values and here's what I got:
Ultimate: (91 octane in Colorado Market/93 others)
98 RON
So what exactly, does this mean? This means that we could run Japanese spec boost with the gas we get.
