my first fillup

so 24 hours ago, i see from another board one dude wanted out of his spot in the waiting list. so i take from him. we arrange with dealer.

8 hours ago, i call him again. he says he talked to dealer with my white with silver rims. all detailed and ready for me to pick up.

6 hours ago, i start to return my wrx back to stock for trade in.

3 hours ago, i call dealer saying i cant come in today to pick up. dealer says he sees post on board and says he cant sell to me... he'll sell to next person in waiting list...

oh well...

Picked up my car in Northern Illinois!!!

so what does "we arrange with dealer" mean?? this is messed up! where are you anyway? (though clever, lat/lon telsl me nothing other than i need to refamiliarize myself with the geography of US. ) my dealer has a white/silver on the floor. last i was there, they're at msrp. there were people on their list after me, but i imagine they've all been contacted by now.

frinday nite, the dude who was GIVING me his spot calls the dealer to tell him i want the white/silver model.

saturday morning, i talk to dealer, scheduling when i MAY pick up car. he says he'll be gone by 2pm and i then have to deal with another sales person. okay, no problem.

satruday late afternoon, i call dealer and talk to alternate sales person. at this time, original sales person gets on phone and starts to get mad at me and the dude who GAVE me his spot, saying that they told him to not do that. original sales person logs into board and sees post. he actually replies in that thread. blah blah, blah...

long story short, almost had it. guess will wait a little longer or drive a little longer...

btw, this is san francisco bay area...
