Slight Vibration at Idle?

I have a 2015 sti, and I've lately noticed that it sometimes has a slight vibration when idling, almost as if it's missing or something. All stock, around five hundred miles. Has anyone else noticed anything like this, and is it normal? No CEL's or anything of the sort.

Images in my rearview are fuzzy at idle due to vibration and I always thought that was normal ... everything sound ok? How extreme is this vibration and is it a new development or has it been that way since purchase?

I'll check my oil shortly, but there's been no sign of burn or leak since it left the dealership. It's not a consistent vibration, just an every so often very slight change in the cadence that I can feel in the pedals and wheel. I'd say it's fairly recent but I may have just missed it until now. Everything sounds fine though.

Am I the only one that things that a car like this is probably supposed to vibrate a bit at idle?

This ain't a Camry. It's a stiff, rigid car that is going to transfer engine and drivetrain vibration through to the occupants.

I don't want to worry you unnecessarily, but that kind of missing can be an early indicator of a blown ringland. If it persists and you can't find another reason, you might want to get compression checked.

Edit: as others have said, you obviously get frequent load changes with the AC on, but that is easily eliminated since you can hear when the AC clutch engages. Hopefully, it's nothing.

Just take it to the dealer expressing your concerns. At least have them inspect it and make sure they document your case. That is the best part of having a new car since it is under warranty and not your problem.

Mine does the same identical thing. Just picked up the car on Saturday. Only has 200 miles on it now.

Seems to only be on cold starts. Once it has temp, it goes away. I consider it normal. My 2004 Forester does it and my old mans 2002 Forester does it.

Just runs in the family, I guess.

I wouldn't put too much into it. My car runs great.

Ahhh I didn't even consider the radiator fan; I bet that's it. It's funny, on my old car I'd just ignore anything this minor that I felt, but when you belt out the money for a new car, any minor noise or feeling and you're thinking F***, it's gonna grenade! Thanks for the help guys.

it's normal for the boxer engine to jump around a bit when idleing.....they are not going to idle glass smooth as say a v12. Also during break in miles not taking the engine over 4000 RPM for the first 1000 miles could lead to some minor deposits on the plug/s....a "highway tuneup" will clean them off...taking a long ride at 60+ MPH. If all your driving is city stop and go this can occur.

Same here, with 3750 miles (2015 STi Limited DGM). Once the car is warmed up and been driven it idles pretty smooth then.

My car brand new felt much like it was misfiring, on the stock tune, I had an older wrx that actually was misfiring bad, I am familiar with the feeling,

I went cobb ots stage 1 + SF intake for a week, and a protune, and my idel is so much smoother its crazy, I remember I noticed immediately when I flashed with the cobb ots how much smoother it felt ideling.

I also have that "problem"

It's almost like clockwork; in the morning, 10 seconds after startup, it shakes. It shaked stock, it shakes with cobb ots stage 1. It goes away maybe 30 seconds after. Besides that, car runs A1. Alot of '15s are experiencing this from what I can find online.
