Does anyone have any information on Quaife or other tranny fabricators who may offer a helical/semihelical cut gear sequential transmission for the STI aftermarket?

Quaife's websight does not discuss complete Subaru AWD transmissions being available, just ATB diffs and gearsets.

if your talking about the STi's tranny, then why even thouch it. its an instant classic here, you do anything that you cant change in 4 hours back to stock then its lost its value as a STi.

if anything, id look for an entirely new tranny. but thats a LOT of cash.

As far as the "why do you want one" question - please go to the Quaife link below, select "Whats New" from the pull down menu and go to the article on a Six speed sequential gearbox fitted to an Elise, that will sum up why I might consider a sequential gearbox desirable.

As far as the other post concerning the STi being an instant classic - to each their own. To you the car may be something to cherish and drive only on Sundays, to me the STi is nothing more than a good place to start.
