I recently installed the Seibon VS-Style Carbon Fiber Hood for my 2021 STI. I read online that people have been able to install their OEM air duct to their Seibon hood but I am having trouble finding images on how they set this up. I know that I will have to drill holes but sadly the holes on the duct do not line up with the fiberglass section of the hood. I have considered using a high temp silicone adhesive or JB Weld to attach the duct to the hood. It would secure well and stop leaks.

Does anyone know of an after market air duct that would fit the Seibon hood? Does anyone have experience installing the air duct for the tmic to their Seibon hood?

Here are some pictures of the hood and the air duct. The silver is all heat shielded carbon that is directly underneath the top of the hood:

I am not sure if this is the proper forum. If I am wrong. Please point me in the direction of the proper forum and I will post it there.

Was their quality even good I’ve been reading some issues with quality control? Thanks
I felt the construction was good. The fitment wasn’t exact to the OEM hood. You might need to take it to a shop to get it fitted properly. I don’t know too much about how to get the fitment proper so I had some issues. I recommend picking up some washers for the hood bolts to try and even things out.

I will say that I ordered a front lip from them and the lip arrived damaged. The box had no visible damage so it seemed like it was packed with damage. The fitment again was not 1:1 and needs to have some drilling and dremiling. I am waiting on them to send me a new lip.

Personally, I would spend the little extra to go with VIS Racing. It comes with a fiberglass heat-shield and seems to be much easier to fit in the car. Seibon is a little barebones.

Thanks didn’t think you would need to modify it much for the price.
