Nice wheels! I'm running All seasons with no issues. I'm in Northern VA so I think an High Performance A/S suites me well as we don't get enough snow to warrant a dedicated tire. You car is coming together nicely!
Thanks! I'm excited for them, although I kind of hate the center caps. I may have figured out a way to do some decent looking STI center caps on them, but waiting for things to come in....
Damn, didn't realize you were in NOVA! You aren't too far at all, I'm in central Maryland. Will have to get together for a meet or something soon! But yes, I think the all seasons will be just fine for me, and if I do want to get nicer wheels in the future these will make some killer winter wheels.
Edit: (poorly done) Photoshop of STI center caps on these wheels. I definitely like this more.

Nice looking wheels. Are they casted or Rotary forged/Flow Formed? I know about Rota but no actual experience with them. Depending on the cap, you may be able to modify them like I did with my Enkei caps.

nice build!!! what are your plans next?
i came from a heavily modded b8.5 s4, it was making close to 480whp. unfortunately, i blew a rod and had to make a decision, whether to build the motor or get into something else. I owned a 2011 STI and i loved it. so i pulled the trigger on a WRB STI, still awaiting delivery. i look at Audis now and i hope i don't miss the s4. i will do little things here and there. I agree that the STI front end is not as aggressive as the scatpack . i think some drop, aggressive wheels would change that. At least, that what im planning to do , come the summer. I'm planning to buy a slightly used c6 corvette as a dedicated" summer /fun car" if my finances can swing it. However, right now, the used market price is completely ridiculous.

Yeah see, that is exactly what I want to do! I may end up modifying the stock caps, as the new ones I bought didn't fit right, but I was hoping to keep the stock caps in case I feel like changing it up. And they are cast, as far as I know, as I don't think Rota does any forged or flow formed wheels. I wasn't that pressed, as I figured this was something cheap to get me started on this car, and they'll likely just turn into winter wheels at some point anyway.

Thanks! Next up now that I have the wheels (I'll have to get a picture soon), I plan on finishing my air setup and get the suspension fully dialed in. I think all of my focus at this point will be on exterior modifications, as I'm not super in love with the styling on this body still, and then I'll get back into motor stuff. Congrats on the purchase, hope you get it soon and can start enjoying it! I thinkt he plan for a C6 is a great one, I actually would love to do something like that eventually. Or at least something LS swapped, as I do want to get back into the V8 game at some point. But yeah, wait out this market, it's too crazy right now to buy multiple cars.

11/29/2021 - Got the new shoes on:
After I got back from my work trip to Vegas (sucked), my tires came in to Costco. I very quickly ended up regretting ordering through them, as even with the massive discount I received, the customer service was some of the worst I had experienced. They ended up losing my tires and had my come back and forth a few times, with different managers telling me different things. I was about ready to just walk away and go somewhere else, but decided to go through with it after speaking to one last manager. I was able worried that they might mess things up, but he assured me a little bit of stretch wouldn't be an issue, and they actually game out great. The only thing I am bummed about is the ugly silver weights, so I will be taking them off soon to paint those and hide them better.

All in all, I actually do really like them. They poke out a bit, which I don't love at this ride height, but I know once I'm on air it will probably be a pretty damn flush fit due to the camber when aired out. I am REALLY glad I decided to lower it on springs for now, as going to 18" wheels would have given me so much more wheel gap than I even have now. Air can't come soon enough.

I actually really like the fit of that wheel\tire combo on stock ride height. it looks very functional (and I mean that as a compliment).

Yeah it looks lowered, for my taste it's perfect. Seems like when folks run a 18x9.5+38 w/265/35 it creates more wheel gap.

I missed it earlier but I see the OP listed in his build that it on lowering springs so not stock ride height. With that though, I think it looks great

Beautiful Built! Car made awesome torque on stock injectors.
Thank you! Yes, I was pleasantly surprised considering the injectors, but I knew if I upgraded those now I probably would be pushing the motor a bit too hard for what I want at the moment. One day!
I was curious on how they'd look when you stated your going to run 245/35 on 9.5", but outcome is good!

Haha yes, I did lower it 1" since that is the maximum drop I could find on a budget. I knew I wasn't going to be able to finish my air setup before I got my wheels, and I needed to at LEAST buy new tires before winter. It just made sense to go this route, and I would have hated the ride height after going with a smaller diameter wheel. I think this actually brings it back to a fairly stock look on 18" wheels, so I'm at least okay with it for now.

I ended up finally doing my center caps, and I would say that I am pretty happy considering how little time and money I actually spent on them. Are they perfect? No. Can you tell they are printed vinyl up close? Yes. But considering most of the time you're going to see them from a distance as part of the overall wheel, AND these wheels are still going to eventually just become winter wheels, I think they are great. I will throw them on tonight most likely, but probably won't get photos of them on until this weekend.

I think they look good, are those the ones from MachV?
Yupp! The center caps themselves are Amazon specials, and they are a tiny bit loose in the wheel itself. I threw some butyl tape around the rim to keep them in, hopefully they will stay put. I only got two of them on, since my dumb ass forgot that my torque wrench is on the frits and overtightened the locking lug on my rear passenger wheel....snapped the lock right into the lug. Have a new set of locks and the key itself coming (hopefully) soon, and will finish up the other two wheels.
Got my OEM rain guards and my front lip for Xmas, but I'm not sure I'm feeling the front lip to be honest...I'm waiting to put it on as I listed it for sale, but if it doesn't go within a week I'll just throw it on. Have 3 other things coming very soon too... :p

Nice! I kinda wish the current OEM center caps had that design. Did you get the OEM front lip or a different one?

I honestly quite like the stock center caps, I was debating trying to find a way to somehow make a custom cap involving them....I may in the future for nicer wheels lol. I went with the Bayson R MPX style lip...I really liked it in the photos from certain angles, but realized the empty space in person feels like a lot for my taste. I think I'm going to go with their VR style lip instead, if I can find a buyer for this current one. Whatever I go with will be painted a textured black to try to get closer to the stock front bumper area, although I know I won't be able to emulate the texture on that part.
Small update.... I just pulled the trigger on the rest of my air setup. It should be here Monday!

I get what your saying about the empty space. I'm running the VR style. I'm on my second one, I destroyed the first one only after a month going up my drive way. I spent the time on the first one to paint it using a flat black. It looked good, but with the second one, I just put it on raw as I didn't have the time/patience to paint it again. Both of them started to crack at the seam where it mounts in the wheel well, but these things are so cheap that I'll just keep replacing as needed. I ran the BaysonR OEM style on my 2016 WRX with zero issues. The fitment of the VR is excellent though.

Yeah, I ended up ordering the VR style last night, and will just sit on the MPX style until it sells. Thats kind of the thing about them being so cheap, is I am fine with them getting destroyed as that is really what happens with front lips anyway. Good to know about the wheel well part though, I may take the heat gun to it a little and see if I can pre-loosen it so it has a little slack off the bat...
And I will eventually paint the lip, but have an idea on how that will go. Im just going to throw it on raw for now, as it is way too cold to consider painting anything myself anyway!
