Hey all.... its been more than a decade, 11 years to be exact, since i drove my 2004 JBP STi off the lot. 4 years and $35k later, i had a pretty mean 11 sec car. Sold the car at 59k miles... sold the mods and reverted to stock before selling. That car was the best car i'd ever owned..... until NOW!!
I have to say I think Subaru took a step in the right direction when they produced this machine. The body roll isn't there anymore... much smoother less jerky ride... 54 miles on her and i can already see how much fun i'm going to have. And i decided that its definitely worth chronicling my mod path, to help others in their mod quest. So..... here goes. First pic in the dealership last night at 9 pm.... just before i took delivery.

Mod list as of: 04/12/18

603.5 whp/ 557wtq on E60
Headgames head work. valve guide replacement, valve job, polish cams, repair journals,

From IAGs website:

IAG Stage 3 Extreme Subaru EJ25 Closed Deck Short Block

The IAG Stage 3 Extreme Short Block starts with brand new Subaru 2.5L engine case halves. IAG machines the case halves assembled together in our Haas VF-4SS CNC mill to accept the IAG CLOSED Deck Inserts that transform the block into a solid deck. The unique inserts feature small passages that allow needed coolant flow to the deck surface. The case halves are then CNC machined with o-ring receiver grooves around the bore surface as well as drilled and tapped to accept larger 1/2" head studs that aids in preventing cylinder heads from lifting in high boost applications. Next, the short block is Deck Plate bored and honed to 99.75mm in our in-house Sunnen SV-30 the most advanced automotive cylinder hone available. IAG's in-house honing process is able to set custom piston to wall clearances to best fit your needs. The modified case halves are then assembled using a new 2017+ Subaru 2.5L nitride treated STI crankshaft that is matched to ACL or King race main bearings. Manley Turbo Tuff Tri-Beam connecting rods and ARP rod bolts are utilized along with ACL or King race rod bearings. The case halves are sealed with new OEM main/case bolts and sealant (upgrade to ARP mains and line hone service a la carte). IAG-Spec JE FSR 99.75mm Forged Pistons are chosen to finish the Stage 3 Extreme short block.

we are maxed out now, the only way to get more power out of this engine would be to change the turbo, injectors and fuel pump... i think this is enough for now. Gonna focus on coil overs, and interior now....

i'm sure i've forgotten some things....

Re: Salisburyv is back!! The Beast part 2

So.... thus far.
AP installed OTS map at 750 miles, following standard break-in procedure.
JDM rear fog installed
Nokya Hyper lime yellow led fogs installed
Rally Armour flaps installed
Led interior lights
Hella supertones
STi front license plate delete
My new rims arrived!!! Prodrive GT 1 in Glitter Gold!!!
audio system concepted,designed, components chosen
falken azenis rt 615k 245/40/18

tapturn installed

On the way:

led lights from Subispeed (fr/rr turns, reverse, olm led drls) arrived!!
JDM front grille (group buy over on NASIOC)
first stereo bits start arriving
first trip to EFI to see what my power goal is going to cost

I don't know, maybe its because i'm older now, but this one seems quicker out of the box than my last one. i do know I want to see 400/400 out of it. so whatever it takes to get there and stay there without breaking is what i'm going to need to do.

Salisburyv is back!! The Beast part 2

Awesome car! I love those wheels. I wish that the Launch Edition would have had wheels that look more like that. So much better IMO.

Thanks! I wanted the Launch edition wheels to go on my car at delivery. The Stealer wanted $989 per rim. i think the GT1's look really good. This is an option that it should've come with

Hi. I really don't see you'r laser jammers. I have the same car color with the laser jammers.
Could you show me where they put it? Because they have to be visible in order to work 100%. I got 2 up front 2 in the rear. You can't hide a 2500 dollar system . I had my installed by a lambo guy:)

They look way better than the Launch wheels! Not a fan of the Limited / Launch wheels this time around tbh.

Re: Salisburyv is back!! The Beast part 2

I just got the 2014 version of this design...same color scheme and all. Beginning to think I should have just waited for the 15 to come special ordered. Actually got mine used certified pre-owned through Frederick Motor Cars in MD. with 1600 miles. Just got 1st oil change couple days ago. New to the site and considering doing some mods. What do you guys recommend with my being new to the Subaru game?

start with an access port, get some decent tires, and get used to driving it.

Re: Salisburyv is back!! The Beast part 2

so.... since my last posting i've done a bit more. Including a pretty nice audio set up. The sound quality was better than i had hoped. I had MB Quart Q series in my 04, we all know MB Quart isn't the same anymore, so i took a shot with the JL Audio ZR series separates up front. They are Bi-amped using the JL Audio 450/4. I got a screaming deal on an anniversary edition sub, i always wanted one of these. Now i remember why. I'm really digging the NEX-7000 very easy to use, and has worked flawlessly thus far. and last but not least, i changed the lighting configuration so the C lights and the fogs can run by themselves.... with a little red in the scoop..... it looks just like the pic... Menacing. esp at night coming at you..... oh.... and i got some Michelin Alpin4 snow tires mounted on the stockers. I have to say i like how that looks too. This car has failed to disappoint me so far, and i had real high expectations.

You don't miss the trunk space? I really like the fogs - wondering if my next upgrade should be LED fogs that match the headlights or ones like yours.
