Beware of salesman. When I bought my first Scooby MY00 GT turbo I was told that I could buy a P1 upgrade kit.

Ok I understand your point, but when there is no firm info about the STI I have to put some weight into what this salesman told me about the STI being based on the Legacy. He could be wrong, but someone told him this. Only time will tell if he is correct or all wet.

Funny this comes up. Over the weekend I went to the local Subaru dealership that took my name and number for when they hear of or start taking orders for an STi, to show my face so they don't forget about me. Anyhway, I ran into a new salesman there. All I can say is what a douch bag. This guy did not know anything about the vehicle. He told me that the STi was not comming here and that the only reason there is an STi is cause in other countries it is illegal to modify your vehicle, so they have the STi to get around it and I could just get a WRX and put the STi stuff on it like Subaru does. This along with some other stuff he told me just pissed me off. I mean if I am interested in spending $30k+ on a vehicle don't you think I would do my research and know what the hell I am getting or looking at. These guys sell the cars and they don't know anything about them. I guess this is not a big deal, but it just pissed me off with some of the crap he pulled out of his ass. If you don't know the answer to a question, just say so, don't take me for an idiot and make crap up. Some of the stuff was not even answers to questions I had, it was just bs he had to say for some reason. The icing on the cake was when I was leaving and he said I should make an even trade with them, my Supra for a WRX. I just laughed and said maybe for the WRX they had in the showroom that had the body kit, 17s, rally car stickers($900 wtf), exhaust($13XX ha!), and carbon fiber dash($495 huh?), etc. that they wanted $34k for, but I said I would be trading in my Legacy when the time comes not my Supra. Which makes me think, if they are asking close to $34k for a WRX with some stick on cosmetics and exhaust, I can imagine what they will ask for an STi. Anyway, sorry for the rant.

Yeah, some salesmen are total jerks and/or other worse things. I remember this one guy from the L.A. Auto Show last year. My friend was still waiting for an M3 and was telling the auto show guy how he was going to pay MSRP for it. The guy basically told him in his dreams. But my friend already knew he was getting it for sticker. What ever happened to honesty?
