I've kinda been thinking about pulling the STi badges off of the fog light covers after someone mentioned it a while back.

Just for the heck of it, here is a quick photo editor job done here at work.

I like it...I think I might go for it. I mean....afterall, how much could those little decals cost if you really REALLY wanted to put em back on.

anything with the letters s t i on it can be surprisingly expensive.

would you pull all of the decals, or just the ones on the foglight covers? it kinda seems pointless to do one without the other.

i sorta think either go full "stealth" and pull all of the badges/decals/wing, or just leave it the way it is.

just my 2 cents.

Naw, I would leave all the rest of the badging (front grill, side doors, rear badge). I would remove all of the decals, but those side door decals are awesome IMO....very tasteful and subtle, unlike the billboard looking decals on the front.

And with people seeing your car from behind more often than not....the rear badge has to stay. The S U B A R U will come off the day I bring it home....I'm debating removing the WRX badge...don't know yet.

After playing with photoshop a little more....I think I'll leave both the WRX and STi on the rear.

Are you planning to remove everything? Or are you just saying you don't see the point to remove just the one set?

I'm not removing them to get rid of all STi badges....I like most of them. I'm just starting to feel that the front decals are a little too much. Put it this way.....if they weren't there to begin with, would you ever think to put decals there?

That's kinda funny since I've always loved the STi fog light cover stickers since the GC8. I would be very disapointed if my STi didn't have them. In fact I wouldn't want fog lights because it would mean I would have to get rid of the covers with the STi logo.

My guess is that they would be $30 per side.

I'm debating removing the S U B A R U as well. More JDM that way. But at the same time, I kinda feel like I need to represent.

Has anyone debadged theirs yet? I seem to remember someone pulling all the badges / stickers and wing on a silver STI. If you have, especially on a Black STI please post photos. I have been going back and forth on removing the foglight stickers and the WRX and STI badges on the rear. I think the foglight stickers look good with the blue but kind of tacky with the black.

Any recommendations on badge removal - my friend said floss and a hair dryer if necessary.

floss, a hair dryer and Goo Gone are good for removing badges that are stuck on with adhesive tape. Decals like the front fog covers are just sticker types that should pull right off when you get under the edge of em. If not, Goo Gone is perfect.

Answered my own question, pulled the STI stickers off the foglights and the WRX and STI badges from the trunk. Personally I am pretty pysched with the look, especially the trunk, may eventually lose the Subaru Technica International from the fogs.

that looks pretty sweet, very subtle.

personally i'm waiting for someone to de-badge my car for me (every morning i'm surprised that some ricer hasn't taken my badges), when that happens i'll make a decision about removing everything.

With that wing and scoop, having no decals is not going to matter as far as sleeper look goes.
true true....but I realized that I meant to say "cleaner" rather than sleeper. it'd also be more of a sleeper tho cuz people may think that it's just a regular WRX instead of an STI ;) :D a sleeper just means that you're hiding something that they wouldn't expect....if they think it's a WRX, then you're hiding the added boost of the STI, therefore, it's still a sleeper ;)

but I know what you're sayin

Yeah, without removing the wing and scoop she's definitely going to keep turning heads. I pulled the front stickers cause that pink on black look reminds me of bad eighties shirts from Hampton Beach or something. I think it would be mean if someone could mold foglight covers with the STI symbol molded right in. I pulled the badges off the back because I am a fan of how very few European cars have any badges other than the manufacturer. Anyone who appreciates the STI will know it without the badges, everyone else can be left guessing what it was that just blew by them. I am still contemplating the side stickers, they are pretty subtle may just pull the pink badges.

No the car has not been lowered, just a good angle I guess
