Just wondering if anyone on in the forums frmo Japan, Europe, or Australia has ever owned an mid/late 90s STi. How reliable are they. Will they last for 200,000mi /(320,000km)like almost all other non-turbo subarus (oil change every 3000 mi, and regular tuneups)?

Now here's the question.. Will the STi outlast a normal WRX due to the heavy duty components??

Thanks,

Well im not an sti expert but here my opinion. I doubt that the engine will last to 200K miles. I cant think of any turbocharged engine that will. Now a stock sti will probly outlast a stock WRX but I doubt to 200K miles. Now you can do things like you said oil change every 3k, tune ups etc, might even want to do a turbotimer to make the turbo last longer. I bet you may get 130-150K miles at the most. just my .02 cents.
