Guys, pardon me but I am new to the site.
How reliable is the WRX? e.g. gearbox, AWD, engine, ecu, etc.? Will the Sti be more or less reliable?
I heard some people complaining about the paint tickness and rattles in the car?

Please advise.....

Thanks....

stacked against any other car company out there in the same price range, I feel Subaru to be one of the most reliable, well built brand of cars on the market.

From what I've gathered, the WRX and Impreza in general have done very well relability wise. A few rattles here and there, but under normal use not a lot of problems. Some people have complained of a cold start clutch shudder with the the WRX. Other than that, I don't know of much.

Of course....you'll find some people saying the tranny is weak in the WRX. What they fail to realize is that any system is built with a power limit in mind and that an AWD system does not accept the quarter mile drop the clutch abuse that a FWD car can shake off. Wheel hop is something you won't find in an AWD setup. The shock goes right through your tranny, differentials, etc.
