Oh...wouldn't that be awesome....Petter take down the Marcus?

Is it just me....or do the Impreza seem to be suffering from too many failures this year? I know there are only two cars (which I don't quite understand if they are trying to be competitive points wise), but it seems at least one of them has a tech problem every race. The last race is the only one I can remember when one or both of them hasn't gone out.

They have had bad luck but I think if Petter keeps up his pace from the last few rallies he might be a contender by season's end.

Let's hope this rally results in a podium finish for him again.

Tommi, on the other hand, just seems to be having no end of bad luck further complicated by lack-luster (by his standards anyway) performances. If he does retire at the end of the year I wonder if Burns will come back to Subaru...

The 206 seems to be having an abnormal amount of Hydraulic problems recently as well.

I think Tommi is used to beating the crap out of the car (take a look at his style in the lancer!). That along with some bad luck isnt going so well.

Im betting Petter will keep his thrid and maybe even get second! Of course this is the first day so we will have to wait and see. Tommi might even be able to capture a point or two by the end of day 3.

how old do you think kengsta is?

Yeah! Petter scored first place! Congrats to him! Subaru has now taken 3rd place in the manufacturers championships from ford. Petter is also 4th in the drivers champioships!

Just finished watching the coverage on speedtv. Congrats to Petter. I was also glad to see Sebastian Loeb take 3rd (one of my favorite drivers). Panizzi surprised me as well (until the car failure)

Awesome event in a beautifull country

Loeb hasnt done a spectacular job this year... Good driver though.
Makenin isnt doing much beter though. If he retires this year then it will really cause a stir.

You know I think he has done pretty well considering. I mean he won Monte. Since then his codriver sent him the wrong direction back to service and they ran out of fuel and he has had mechanical failures.

I would agree with prost893. Also, let's not forget that it only his 2nd season in WRC. I think he is doing great. The guy is also only 29 years old.

kudos to the original poster for the benign topic name. i just finished watching it. fantastic result for petter. long overdue.

one thing i noticed is the squealing of the brakes on the subaru as it rolled in to service. someone mentioned squealing under light pressure is a "feature" of a 4+ pot brake setup.
