Anyone catch the new subbie commercial?

Yeap, seen it a couple times. Watch the WRC coverage on the Speed channel and you'll see a WRX commercial about every other one.
As for the ad itself, it's not bad. I wish they would show the car in different weather conditions. They always show it on a dry curvy road. Come on, show off the AWD a little. Also, I wish they would throw in a couple clips from the WRC rallies. Make people a little more aware of the connection.

Uhhh, I am pretty sure the comercial with radar love playing took place on a damp to wet curvy road. I think one of the other commercials shows it on a gravel type road. No they do not show any footage from WRC, but I would bet they are saving that for the STI version when it is released.

I believe every commercial i have seen has been with wet conditions. The new commercial has wet asphault and the other commercial is overcast and damp.

I thought the new commercial was indictative of teenage behavior. Fast driving, loud music, and the fact that the two in the car are talking to each other over the music. IMO a commercial definitely geared to the 18-25 year old market. [/list]

It's funny that the generation that remembers that song isn't 18-25, but may want to feel that way again in a WRX... ah marketing.

I guess I was/am hoping for wet, not just damp. I don't know... :-?
Don't get me wrong, I think the commercial was a good for what it was intended to be.

I actually had someone come up to me and say, "I saw that Subaru Commercial with the two guys and the radio.. is that the car you're thinking of getting??... that's cool!!"... The guy was even watching NASCAR at the time, not WRC!!
