Anyone know which insurance companies cover autocrossing? How about time trials or track days?

Mine "asked" ``you're not going to compete in any racing events, are you?'' Since I wanted insurance, I said "no". Didn't even want to ask what would happen if I said "yes".

So I suppose if I wipe out at an autocross, I won't be covered. I don't think my lender would be happy to hear that. :(

what they don't know won't hurt them. If you have an "incident" at an autoX event, I am pretty sure you will have plenty of witnesses that will swear you were somewhere else when it occurred. ;)

I have heard that State Farm will cover you once for such an incident.

When I asked my agent about autox, he said:

"Why not, the worst it could do is make you a better driver". :)

But he's a car nut too- so...

Gauges

I know someone who had State Farm and totaled his BMW M3 at a track day. Hit the upper rail airborne. He was OK and he got the one time treatment. They had to pay for the damage to the guard rail under the liability part of the policy...
