I know that we don't even have the STi here yet, but does anyone think that in the future we (USA) will get any boutique or limited production series Sti's such as the S202 or some other performance configuration?

i don't think we will or, not without it being sold in japan. Being that the Subaru is japanese, and also based on the fact that almost all the special edition STis were sold in either japan (S202, RA) or Europe (prodrive), i believe the only way we will see a special edition STi is if an american tuning company starts doing something and we see it while the rest of the world doesn't. However, isn't the STi special enough?

I think Prodrive recently opened an office in Ann Arbor, MI. Maybe they will start to offer at least the PPP for the WRX and the STi when it is released next year.
