[Latest updates]
I've decided to spruce up the journal again, this time focusing on organization and a generally more pleasant place to be. One of the reasons I haven't updated this in several months is because of how terribly unorganized it was, gave me a headache just to look at. Hopefully this update fixes that.

Shortly following the re-organization update I'll be posting the results of the installed performance items and the first day at the track with the 08.

Re: PUFF's 2008 DMG STi

So I've wanted to do this since I picked up the car May 31st, but I just never got around to it, til now. Here we go..

Intro:

This is my first subie, 5th car over all. So far I'm really lovin' the car, I'm probably one of the many '08 owners that never thought they'd ever get a wagon, but here we are! At this point I've owned the car for slightly over a month now, and the car was completely stock for probably a week. I tend to like to 'personalize' my cars however possible, and that usually means at least one ore two mods, subtle or other wise. I never really kept the car stock long enough to take pics, so I'll just start with the first few mods. I did a good deal of lurking and decided I liked the look of the 'pin strip' lip stick look on the front grill, but I couldn't get the strip on straight for the life of me, but my girlfriend didn't seem to have any trouble! Next, I really decided I didn't like the busy badge look on the rear so I removed all badges except the sti.

Anyways, pics as of this point:

Since then, I had 30% tint all around and a clear bra installed. Here she is as she stands now:

Here's a list of current mods/changes:

Factory options:
STI short shifter
iPod connector
Cargo Tray
Autodim mirror/compass

Exterior:
Front grill pin strip
Debadged
30% tint all around
Full clear bra on bumper/hood, partial fender

Interior:
Hardwired Valentine1
Kenwood DNX8120
Kicker components fronts
Kicker Mid-bass rears
Kicker amp
Kartboy shift knob
Defi Racer Red boost gauge

Performance:
Cobb APv2 Stage 1 ACN91

And.. I have these sitting in the living room:

Near future plans ( 3-6 months):
KW v3 clubsports
Brake pad/rotors/SS lines all around ( haven't decided on setup)
Cobb downpipe
Perrin EL header
Perrin CBE
Water/meth injection
Tune at GST

That's it for now! Hopefully I'll post updates with each major addition.

And just for reference, here's a quick list of past cars and their major mods:
94 Prelude -
Jackson Racing Supercharger
Crower stage 2 cams
Crower dual valve springs
Supertech titanium retainers
Supertech flat valves
Stage 2 port/polish
~260FWHP

Those wheels go well with your car. After seeing what you have done with your last couple of cars, I look foward to seeing the outcome of the GRB. :)

For people in colder climates, the battery might not have enough CCA (cold cranking amps) to start the car in subzero temperatures. Most people also don't recommend running 1000w stereo's with the motor off with these batteries :).

Also, the wheels are 18x9+35 on stock rubber.

Thanks for the comments guys!

The car looks great on those wheels. What are your plans for lowering it?

BTW, that RX-8 looks great, any pics of the 7? ;)

Re: PUFF's 2008 DMG STi [CE28's mounted! + 15lbs battery]

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Plans to lower it have bounced from Endless/Zeal to KWv3's, and back. I've had really excellent experiences with Endless in the past, but I suppose it's time to try something new. I'll be ordering the KW's once my FD shell is sold :( I've been holding on to it for the past two years (and two cars i've owned through it :()

I don't have any good pictures of the FD because it was a "work in progress" most of the time I owned it. When it was finally done, it was strapped to a dyno.. made some good numbers, then blew! Here's a pic I have of it right before it blew..

Nice man. You'll need to roll your rear fenders once you lower it, but should be fine after that.

Nice set up!

I also live in SJ. Are you interested in selling your stock wheels?
