Ok gents,

Opinion needed.

The project is on the brink of completion. It is at a stage that I always dreamt of.I do not see any major change at all. I think it is at a level of execution to rival legends such as Hyperlemon.

I am monitoring EFR 8474 closely
I may add a Bosch ABS at some stage

Now, with the new developments, do I add a new summary page or modify and update the existing one?

I vote add a new summary page. Put a link to it here.

well dang. what are you doing that needed all of that out?
Well exactly.

I am having it professionally painted. Protection from rust and elements plus presentation. Remember it is a very expensive T45 cage which is unpainted and a lot of body is now bare at weld points.

Plus, we are now in "end game" mode. Challenging for a WTAC win. And the local trend is to literally rebuild the whole car before the race.

The other development is refinements of aero by Simon Mcbeath.

Nice! ( I wasn't sure if the cage was actually painted or not)

Have you been able to confirm that you won't have any "rule" issues with WTAC like last year?
There are a couple of points that are being checked as we speak. I will not commit to WTAC unless I have an official green light. I will make sure there is no bs excuses and no surprises before I commit.

While there are 60+ of fastest street cars in planet (many of them at or close to a 911 cup car pace and on street tires) and you may have big component failures, I am pretty certain the car will place. I would even say component failure will not be an issue as we will go prepared and have access to enough spares.

New summary added:

Essentially the comprehensive cage replaced a lot of our braces and there is new gearbox and engine.

Suspension wise in chronological order:
  • Cut springs (shame on me)
  • RCE Tarmac 2: Such awesome system for price
  • RCE Tarmac 3:In all honesty all you would need. Amazing system.

Thanks Ben.

I am relieved. This has been a exhausting project but I am glad I never gave up in finishing it and never compromised on quality. I would admit though, I am glad it is about to finish. Hahaha

I think things went positive when I JUST included "good" "honest" people.
I have said it before but GIR, Prospeedracing, P2P Racing in particular and then other sponsors and companies too.

Question for people with experience with Hoosiers. I have a set of Hoosier A7 (the road course and not autocross) which have like two track days on them but three years old. Stored properly.

Can I use them on a high speed track or too risky?

Update:
Summary of the last two months is refinements.

Details to follow in next weeks.

my uncle would run them, but i would suggest reach out to the tire company and see what they think...rubber deteriorates when sitting and i would prefer to keep reading your updates!

Happy 4th of July to my American friends. May the spirit of seeking freedom burns forever in your heart!

my uncle would run them, but i would suggest reach out to the tire company and see what they think...rubber deteriorates when sitting and i would prefer to keep reading your updates!

The Hoosiers were 3.5 years old. Noting the sort of load I will be putting on the, I didn't think they were safe.

Tomorrow is an Alfa Romeo sprint day followed by Subinats 2019.
Can't wait to unveil the latest version of the Mighty TBAG.

Nervous, scared, excited all together.

Last year I was so annoyed and frustrated with myself taking 2 year old street tires while everyone rocked up in 3 sets of soft race tires. I have learnt my lesson, I will be on 295 seemislicks. I wanted to get slicks but there are quite a few changes in driveline and I wanted to reduce the variable as much as possible. Semislicks will be closer to AD08R in feel/ Plus I can correlated relative pace to AD08R easier.

Wish me luck!

Came 6th overall.
I tried and I tried hard. The end result was not as good as I hoped initially. But I drove hard and I was consistent. Me and car came back in one piece.

I was fourth till the very last session when I got jumped by two cars one driven by a pro driver. I made a mistake and didnt have the best final session.

Thank you to my family and everyone involved.

Had small set up issues that went through and successfully resolved. Thanks to GIR. They worked hard.
