Re: Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

So they are 04STi control arms with new bushings? Or did they cast their own control arm copies?

Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

It's their own cast with a lighter and stronger alloy. Based on Spec C geometry. Of course upgraded bushings and integrated ALK and end links.

Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

Thanks guys.

I am going to call the shop and politely harass them to accelerate the process😄

I think this should be a noticeable improvement due to reduced u sprung weight and new upgraded bushings and added castor.

Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

Thanks LaW!

How is the Exige going?

Ps, a disclaimer I think is necessary:

MSI and Tss Fan do beautiful LCA kits. I have considered them but:

Philosophy of this car is a GT3rs and it WILL stay a road car as long as possible.

The Super pro kit is alloy cast (it bends, doesn't break...well supposed to😁).

While in terms of pure performance the MSI and Tss kits are better. My judgment was that this is a better fit to the project.

While a road car, this car has and will continue to cause surprise and occasionally embarrassment for cars 10-20 times the price.

Yes, me too. :)

No unfortunately. This is a two man shop who covers to race cars (Ferrari and Porsche). As far as I know, they have allocated 50 hours to work on the car this fortnight.

I literally can not wait to drive the car. There are sooo many new things to experience in the new set up. New motor, new turbo, sub frames, arms.

Ps, I refreshed the bushings, they were 20000km old :D

First, need the engine timing and ...gear together. Next is the front sub frame and your favourite part in...

I will get them to send me pictures and will share.

Short answer is no major updates yet. But hopefully soon.

Re: Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

Will correct. (still havent foud the best link)

STI in video above got second place in street class, jumping from fourth in final shoot out.

Pro class had no STI
Tilting interiors 1000hp (almost) vs Under Suzuki S15 (850hp)
Vs MCA hammerhead S13 (800hp). Tilton 0.04 ahead of Suzuki in final seconds.

60% full in the tank as per Phil.

Imo, more oil is always better:
Less chance of catastrophic failure if we have a leak (given we are carrying a lot)
It acts as a giant secondary catch can
Better thermal control, specially considering TMIC

Re: Project TBAG, Dry sumped STI GT3 RS!

Thats gonna be a nasty oil-change bill...
I know.

I was kind of pleading with the shop to do the break in with wet sump but the Element Procomp motor arrived with the drysump pan already attached

Dyno break in=300$ oil

Then fill her up agaian...another 300$

Going broke like a BOSS!

Joking, obviously I had a very clear idea of what I am doing and the expenses.
