Awesome build man! What kind of power are you aiming for? I notice the element tuning block is rated up to 800hp :D

Thanks!

The turbo is BW 7163 which is 60 rated. But I am "only" after low 400 whp (therefore TMIC) to start with.

I want to take things nice and easy and basically grow with the car. As my experience increases, we can push the power level some more. But coming from 248whp, 420whp and a nice torque curve would be plenty...for now :)

I feel you! I went from 227whp stock for about 3 months, then 268whp for about 6 months, a jump up to 402whp for another 3 months, then now by tomorrow will have 500+whp, I may just get bored too easily... Haha this should be enough for now... I need to sort my handling setup to match the power. :) you have the complete package

Lots of jumps for you :)

I am not sure about perfect package :)
It has become a bit too extreme for a "street car" I am afraid. Look at User1029 journal, that's a nice powerful street car set up IMO.

Chargespeed brake ducts:

This is how it will look like.

Will post pictures when it is in.
Water cooled brakes are still on the cards though. Just not now as my priority is to get the car running ASAP.

Make sure you tighten the adjusters down good and tight. We run some APR mirrors and on aggressive shifts (high HP, aggressive clutch) and mid-triple digits they start to fold in

Sure, thanks for heads up.
That being said, folded mirrors= less drag ;-)

I am really hoping build quality is acceptable.

Ps, we will be running your coolant reservoir/washer tank. Perfect build quality, same as any other killer b product I have seen so far.

Thanks Trailbraking!

I hope so as well :)

I have tried to be as thorough as possible but you never know...

There are always some bugs to be worked out, but that's expected. So hard to be patient with this kind of thing. You definitely are going all in lol and you have excellent taste it's so nice to see a bugeye done right

Have you considered ditching the meth and running e85?

Thanks for the complement.

For me, it was only one way: don't do it or do it perfect!

I am very happy with the direction of the project so far. That being said, there is a certain beauty in a light tuned car that can be driven and enjoyed everyday.

Interesting you asked about fuel, as the plan is e85 almost all the time: Martini 116 for competition and normal for DD (occasionally/rarely). Meth system is predominantly is for water injection and reducing the chance of knocking.
Also we are on TMIC, so:

JDM water sprayer+ water injection+ E85 chemical cooling

I am really hoping this would be sufficient to get away with a TMIC as opposed to FMIC. I do realize that this is all theory and if this doesn't work, we will do a Process West V mount. :)

You're never going to get knock with e85 before hitting peak power, so any additional timing you can run with meth isn't going to do anything. Meth cools your EGTs though and will help with heat soak.

I have to track back around a year or so.

As you can tell I have gotten a massive package from Element Tuning, a lot of components are chosen with direct input from Phil.

I understand what you are saying.

- Meth-Water injection was an add on option which would help reduce temp, "theoretically" reduce knock possibility regardless of fuel.

-There was already an integrated map on Hydra ECU, while it was "another" 6-700$, it was another level of safety and capability and I said YES PLEASE :D

- The car will be used on the limit and with a TMIC. I am really hoping we can control the temps with these mechanisms. I have already spend a lot of resources, getting the car handle the way I want, I would prefer not to have to add weight on the nose..if I can.

Ps, even on my previous set up (EJ207 and stockish power), after only 3 track events, my Tomei ti exhaust has turned COMPLETELY purple. I can use every single safety mechanism there is.

Will post pictures of my exhaust when we start the installation process.

I will see if I can get Phil to add his input as he has been an integral part of this project.

Bare in mind, I am 10000 Mi away from Element Tuning and still I felt more confident buying all my "heart transplant" stuff from them, even with the logistical difficulties we had to tackle.

Haha, I know.

I never order things one by one, only MASSIVE packages for me.

That being said, having ordered pretty much everything Element Tuning sells. I am thinking I might as well have shipped the car to him to build. Would have costed the same but easier as he has built and designed a lot (not all, I am sure he didn't like my TMIC and Cusco mounts) of the package.

Like yours (although a bit less hard core and a bit less prolonged), this has been associated with a lot of emotions. Can not wait to drive/compete in "TBAG" again.
