Hi everyone, I am looking to get my sti tuned and want to know if anyone knows anything about, reviews, or recommend either YIMI SPORT or COBB SOCAL? Are they good tuners/shops? Thanks

The three most notable shops, to my knowledge, are Yimi, Church and Cobb. Now, I'm not trying to down on Cobb, though I would personally go with either Yimi or Church. When I went with my friend to get his '12 STi tuned, he was not able to speak to the tuner at Cobb. When I spoke to the reps at both Yimi and Church, they seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Best of luck!
I had my STi tuned about 1 year ago. Car had roughly 50k mi when I brought it in. Now I'm at about 65k mi, no issues. Very knowledgeable, great service. They're booked regularly, so plan ahead.

Sorry, mentioning the tuner would help huh! Yimi
Yimi! Was tuned by church before, had some qwerks with the tune. Yimi fixed it and pulls even harder. Getting tuned tomorrow at Yimi with my new built motor!
sweet thanks for the feed back guys.:) I like to hear that yimi is a good place to go b/c its closer:lol: but still like 2-3hr drive:(
yimi has horrible customer service, I would stick with church seems like yimi doesnt need the business i got sent a quote that took several phone calls and emails and they still have not replied in over 2 months.

Church is also booked regularly however they always have had excellent customer service and never once had a issue with getting hold of them.
I've been going to Yimi for years until I moved to PA. They were totally worth the 5hr drive.
There's a tuner review thread in here somewhere but Id recommend Yimi Sport anyday. I wish they were over here in PA

Paul has tuned my car multiple times because I am always adding parts. My first tune on my 04sti with a 20g was a few years ago & I've had 3 more tunes since then due to more mods and addition of alcohol injection, but he can do it all. I am still on the same motor he tuned me on & I go wot everyday. I still have the same car, it's my DD.
check them out you won't be disappointed.

Completely understand, but to let you and everyone else know I am setting up a few dealers in the LA area and working on getting some dyno locations situated so I can start traveling up there from time to time to offer tuning a multitude of platforms.

Cheers,

A guy named Bruce told me to see you, hopefully I can get some mods worth having a tune.
YimiSport is a great tuner. I had great results going from Church to Yimi but the shop is 3+ hours away from me. I am in San Diego so I will probably try out Delicious later in the future since Infamous Performance is 15 min away from me hahah
I recommend edo performance. They have a dynapack that is calibrated much lower than other readings. Other than that, great shop. And i havent had a problem yet.
...and of course I recommend Church, since he's teaching FASTuuN EFI Simplified and SubieTuuN too. Which will be available soon.

Shawn has been named #13 top import tuner in the U.S!

Best of luck whom ever you decide on.

The drive would be worth it. I can tell you first hand on 2 amazing tunes(2010 STI @ stage 3 and a 2011 [email protected] Stage 5). And his customer service is next to none.

Take a look at his references and his portfolio, pretty sick::tup:
