So, i had taken my GR into the dealer 3 times to get the noise that the power steering makes when the car is warm. Other posts have documented it, the psssshsssssshh sound that becomes constant after the car is warm. Well, from info from other posts, seeing how close the power steering lines run next to the turbo/downpipe, and noticing that the Type RA and rally cars have a power steering cooler i deduced that the fluid must just becoming too hot. So i ordered a small 4 pass fluid cooler and some AN connections from summit racing. I used a PermaCool 4 pass cooler (part #1009). You can do the non-AN version, but i wanted the AN connections. I used Summit's brand Twist-Tite AN connectors and tubing. To attach the cooler to the radiator cross member i just picked up some small aluminum stock and ss hardware from Lowe's.
-Results-- After driving for a couple different trips there is no noticeable sound now! I am extremely happy that this fixed this problem because i was worried about the longevity of the power steering system with all that noise. The install was pretty simple too as long as you have a dremel.
