According to this page:

http://www.whatcar.com/default.asp?a=news&b=story&article=501&makeref=40&modelref=853

The STi will have a selling price of 25,995, which is 15-20% more than the 21,995 WRX.

In US dollars, this works out to approxametly 36,000. More important, however, is that the STi is pretty consistantly been priced around 20-30% more than the WRX in countries where it has been sold. I'll do the math for you...

24,000 + 20% = 28800

Have I or have I been not saying 30K give or take a few??

I'll keep you posted and as soon as this semester is over, expect major site overhauls.

Hey, you took my post from I-Club =)

Things are looking pretty good for US car enthusiasts. All this nonsense about the US STi costing $40K is just that, nonsense. While this isn't exactly an official announcement, What Car usually provides reliable information. Many times their information precedes official announcements from the manufacturers.

Looking at the UK webpage, the STi is priced at 21,553 GBP, without the VAT. If you convert that in USD as of today, you get $31,338. Cars in the UK seem (from my limited knowledge) to be a little more expensive than here, even without VAT.

Another good indicator that the car will be priced somewhere around $30k...
