What kind of car car?

could be cv joints, but that sounds more like the tophat in the suspension. what tophats did you go with? or rather what suspension did you go with. and what did you torque it to

 

I went with cygnus performance suspension. Made by fortune auto. The suspension came with it's on top hats. I went to a mechanic to get them installed.

 

you shouldnt have an issue with those. i too have the cygnus performance coils. they are outstanding. i'd check the tightness of the tophats but now i'm thinking less that it would be those. if they are metal though it could be (mine are but i dont get popping noises)

 

I'll check the CV joints today and my ball joints after work. Btw the popping noises occured even before I put my new suspension on. I just assumed the struts were shot and bought coilovers.

 

need to get the wheels of the ground and see what you can move

especially since this turns out to be a wear issue, not a new suspension issue . . .

There is almost never all the info provided in a first post , hence my use of the word guess . . . Plenty of people have experience popping after disassembling and reassembling stock suspensions, sometimes from having the springs incorrectly oriented.

 

Could be ball joints, could be end links, could be tie rods, won't know until you get under there and see.

 

Try putting up a video, its pretty hard to help diag something like this online.

 

I didn't see spring binding mentioned. Did you upgrade to the ball bearing spring perch?

 

is it just 1 pop when turning and another when straightening out or a constant click/pop while you turn an it goes away when you straighten out? the fewer pops would most likely be a suspension component, multiple would likely be CV...
