Im going to start off saying i know very little about cars.I blew my motor on thanksgiving and just got my car back a week ago..I have an 04 sti and i just got a bigger turbo and a built motor. . Thought id get some gauges so i can monitor my car a bit better so i could maybe prevent it from blowing up again and im hoping you guys could help me make these gauges work

I bought some stri gauges off of nasioc and they are missing some parts. I have no clue where to find them and it seems like i have to buy a whole new gauge. I have a boost gauge(complete), Oil pressure, and a EGT.

Oil pressure gauge comes with the plug that goes into the back of the gauge and then i need something that goes into that plug with the sensor on it.. Ill need an oil galley plug i think if thats the proper word for it. to hook the sensor into.

And the egt just needs the bung that will be welded on to my dp by a friend.

I contacted STRI and they said to contact one of their dealers. I talked to 3 different companies and they all said that they do not sell parts and that i would need to buy a whole new oil pressure gauge. I was wondering if i could buy a crapy gauge and kinda savage parts from it to make my STRI's work.

I can upload or email pictures of them and i canshow you everything i have if that would help.

Sorry im clueless with this car stuff and please let me know if there is anything more i could tell you that could maybe help you help me:D

i just put mine in and have stri install doc here. they call it a "sensor wire" and i cant imagine that stri cant get one to you.

if you have the sensor and the gauge and the power harness, ur just missing a wire in between the sensor and harness. but you dont really need it, you could just cut the big white connector plug off from the sensor side and cut the sensor wire plug from the harness side. just use regular wire between sensor and harness. the plugs just make it easy but it wont be any different if you just solder x length of wire on there. hell one of my power plugs acts up i might just cut that off and solder the wires there also.

for etg you can find tons of places that sell bungs, just need to find out the right thread. i.e. heres one: Percy's 55109
i.e.

Do you know where i can find this Doc? It would make my life alot easier im sure. but i am missing what ever sensor is needed for the oil pressure gauge..From what i understand there are two parts of the stri oil pressure plug. There is the first part that goes into the back of the gauge and then there is the part that goes from the end of that plug into the block or where ever i put the oil pressure sensor. What sensor do i need or what will do the trick? Thanks a ton for the help and i greatly appreciate all this info

ohh in that case, hmmm. you're missing the sensor and the sensor wire.
the sensors need to match the gauges (i.e. guages are calibrated to recieve a specifc voltage for a specific value, which can vary from sensor to sensor), where to source one, outside of stri i wouldnt know.

i cant possibly imagine stri or their dealers dont have replacement sensors though as they can go bad over time.

i can scan this doc for you sometime today (or after work) theres no part #'s, but you can see exactly the things you would be missing, might make sourcing them easier.
