man, i was wondering what happened to is. i just signed the petition. now can anyone explain how speed tv can rationalize that a week's delay will increase viewership?? i'm confused. speed's behavior demonstrates to me that they know there are many dedicated wrc viewers out there; the behavior i'm referring to is the all-day WRC marathon they've had for several years now where they replay all the races on one day. (it's on during one of the days around the christmas-thru-new year's holidays.) they don't do that for *any* other racing series, foreign or domestic. perhaps it's because wrc licensing is cheap? maybe it's because they know we're watching and giving us what we want? likely the latter, so why in the world would they screw us now?? :evil:

The part that gets me is the thing about this gaining ratings by condensing it. Say what?? Ok, so instead of having the WRC nuts watching each night for 4 days in a row, and then watching every re-run until the following week....instead they decide it's better to try and get everyone to watch on the same one hour segment once a week?

yikes.....all I can think is the marketing management knows someone in power somewhere....cuz they didn't get their jobs by being the smartest!

I wouldn't mind an earlier time to view the same day's events, or even a morning edition the next day (weekends). But when SpeedTV took our night coverage and put CASCAR or Formula 3000 it really burned me.

Perhaps we should petition another channel, like OLN, to offer competing coverage of the WRC and SCCA. If Speed had some competition they might listen. As it stands, they can shaft us, and we'll keep coming back for more.

I really wish a basic cable station or even a major network would carry some WRC coverage...I unfortunately don't get Speedvision
