Its part of the PCV system. PCV is the black plastic thing coming out of the engine block, in front of the turbo outlet.
Don't mind the gold color connector in my picture. You won't have that unless you have an APS turbo inlet.

Sorry if this is posted incorrectly....I'm new to the forum. I just purchased an 04 sti that has a few mods on it. I removed the Perrin air filter today and found this part and I cant determine what it is or where it should be. It was attached to a 2 wire plug. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

This is what mine looks like now. Looks like this part was bypassed for some reason....or maybe not.

It connects to the stock turbo inlet, and the PCV valve. I believe that grey part closes under boost so oil doesn't get sucked into the engine, at least in a perfect world.
Not my picture, the tube the grey part fits on is on top of the turbo inlet directly next to the silver clamp (turbo side).
