BAD:

Falconi's Subaru in Belle Vernon, PA.

After having a down payment with them for 6 months, they didn't order my car: just got one in and tried to force me to buy.
I refused because they stated they wouldn't lift a finger to make it right.
They then slapped $6000 in options on it.
Said they sold it the next day ( three weeks ago ).
Saw it listed in paper last week! :)

GOOD ( so far ):

Got deposit back and ordered from Bowser Subaru in West Mifflin, PA. They seem like they have their act together ( we'll see ).

I placed an order with A & T Subaru in Sellersville, PA in mid-May, at MSRP. I was number three on their STi list. Their first shipment of 2 arrived early June and were both sold. Just got the call that my car is "in the pipeline" and due some time in July. Dealer couldn't be any more specific yet.

Overall, pretty good experience, so far.

Come on, July.

I picked mine up at this great dealership for MSRP:
Lancaster County Motors Subaru
5260 Main St (Manheim Pk)
East Petersburg, PA 17520
717-569-4514

My salesman was Steve and I highly recommend him.

I had one on order at the Philly Auto Mall dealership since January. Suposedly first in line. First car shows up with exactly the same options and color combo that I ordered and suddenly there was a mysterious internet purchaser who got in ahead of me. Might have helped that he also bought a WRX at the same time. Anyway...they screwed around and could'nt even call me back to pinpoint delivery time within a week or two, so I found Steve above, and got it off the showroom floor for MSRP.

They are expecting 3 deliveries any day now. All silver wheels, one blue, and two silver. So far, only port options are listed, but if you contact them, they'll stop any dealer installs they have planned and sell to you at MSRP...guaranteed no markup. These guys were great to deal with, so please send some business their way.

Cheers,
Scott

very disappointing

wi77iam:
I was just there today (june 25th) checkin out info for the STi's. They said the first two owners traded in their WRX's for the STI's, and I think I was talking to the guy who sold you yours. He was excited cause he said the next one that comes in he gets to drive to get a full tank of gas. He then frowned and said, "And that's it :(" hehe He said it was like a half mile round trip. Poor guy. He gets to do it cause he was your customer. He seemed like a good guy....except for the fact that I told him I won't be able to get enough for a down payment until next summer/spring. Then he tried to sell me one of the two WRX's that those 2 guys traded in for their STi's. But then again....that's his job.

Hey EynonPower,

Thanks for that tidbit. The salesman's name was Dave and he was a real nice guy - gave me no BS. When he calls with my delivery date, I'll make sure to tell him that's all he gets to drive it. :-?

Good:

Suburban Subaru in North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). They were very straight up to deal with and keep me up to day on what was going on with my order. Bill Eggart is the sales mgr there.

Charged MSRP.

Have never dealt with them on service before, so I cant comment on that.

Update on my dealers...they both have STi's on the floor as we speak:

One near Philly: Blue/Gold, a few port options. MSRP
Two in Lancaster: both Silver/Silver, a few port options and likely some dealer options. MSRP. They also have a blue/gold on the truck, delivery any day now.

email me if you want their info

I don't work for them or get a cut. They treated me right so I'm returning the favor.
