Octane of 90???

Hey, Im currently in NC due to the Marines, and am comming back to the big AK. So i hear that the highest octane from pump is 90? How do u all cope? my friend that drives the autobot wrx says that a lot of you are running alky injection...I wonder how well that will work with my stage 1 from vishnu, i think i am going to call them to see what they can do..anyhow, hit me up, thnx in advance.

Octane?

You must be referring to California gas; their highest is 91; I live in Illinois and our highest at regular gas stations is 93 but you can always buy racing fuel. Which you don't really need unless you race. By the way I didn't think they had roads in Alaska- except for the ALCAN.:lol:

90 octane

Yes, they switched us to 90. My car is a stage 3 with 375 whp. I use either straight 90 in winter as traction is limited or with 90 with a little octane booster with my 340 whp and 104 with my 375 whp map. You can also buy very low lead 100 octane at certain gas stations.

the low lead is probably aviation fuel but i think your best bet is to get some streetblaze 103 or some lightly oxygenated fuel and mix it with the pump gas!
