It Begins

2013 Dark Grey Metallic WRX STI

Goal: A daily driver with a setup that prepares for greater things to come. My DD goal is around 350whp without sacrificing too much reliability. The car will then be garaged and worked on more heavily.

Re: 2013 Dark Grey STI - Hatchback

Cobb Access Port V3 was purchased on 8/30 with free next day shipping promotion from Got Boost Inc. Lets see if it actually comes today.

A call was placed in yesterday to them in addition, because I was curious as to why the order wasn't showing that it had been shipped and there was no response...

Access port is in!

Re: Family Car Taking Roids (2013 Dark Grey STI - Hatchback)

Hi Everyone,

Any suggestions on modifications that that would provide some HP/TQ gains that wouldn't blow my current tune? I don't believe there is much out there.

Any feedback regarding a build path would be greatly appreciated as well. I would like to start doing my research while I continue to enjoy the car as is. Also, the wife has be on a bit of a budget right now :(

Thanks,
Chris

Basically everything at this point is going to require a tune. I think EL headers and a TMIC are probably your next choice. You are probably stuck there until you open up the block and do some internal work.

Any opinions on UEL Headers and TMIC?

UEL Headers - I want to keep the the boxer rumble, so I am leaning towards UEL.

TMIC - Is the STI scoop big enough? I don't think I want or need a FMIC because of my HP goals, but I welcome additional feedback.

Side note: Any reason you didn't mention larger fuel injectors? Was it because of me trying to avoid having to re-tune?
