I know at least one other guy has one in the South Bend area. Becasue he got the first one and I was second. Anyway, let's here from the people in Northern Indiana / Southern Michigan.

I have mine. I am in SouthEastern Michigan. I live in Warren. I bought my Sti from Beechmont Subaru in Cincinnati. I went and trailered it home. I would have been waiting a couple of more months for the one I had a deposit for. I think there have only been 1 to 3 actually delivered in Michigan. I went online and checked dealer inventories to find what's out there.

No way Scooby!!! you must have been the guy that they were talking abuot down at Beachmont when I called a few weeks ago. I got screwed out of mine here in Detroit and had to start searching for one elsewhere. The guys a Beachmont said you bought the last one on the lot!!!, now I have to wait till July. Tell me where they as nice in person as they are on the phone???

Smig, I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. How did you get screwed out of your Sti? The people at Beechmont are wonderful in person. They are really there for you. I would probably try to do future business there. I sealed my deal with a ldy by the name Cher Ravenscraft. She is a very nice lady. When I called about their stock, there was a car carrier there unloading the Sti I ended up getting. I got lucky with the timing of my search. There was 1 other STi on the lot, but it was already sold.

No,I'm not F1Racer... To make a long stroy short the dealer I had the car on order with decided to not sell to the customers with a letter stating they could buy the car at MSRP. The first 2 he got they sold to people not on the list above MSRP. I got pissed and took my deposit back, and thus began the search. Of course there are no dealers in this area that have no waiting list so I ended up checking in Oio, and as it turns out Cher is who I ended up sending my deposit to. She said that it looks like the next shipment to them will be in some time between the send and fourth week of July. Which I guess I can wait till then.

I've had mine Grand Rapids Michigan since May 28th. Three STI's were delivered that night by East Imports. Two Silvers and my blue one. I know they had two more coming this month so I can easily see how someone might have seen one recently being unloaded.
I think Maple Hill Subaru in Kalamazoo has delivered at least one already as well.
East Imports told me they were the largest dealer in Michigan and that appears to be true since they seem to be getting quite a few STi’s.

Congrats STIffy on your purchase. I thought they were very nice in person. I would recommend them to anyonw willing to drive or pay for the shipping. How far do you live from me? We should get together sometime. I just got through the break in. I have 1187 miles. I haven't driven the STi in 3 days. I am seriously itching to drive it. You can email me or PM me if you would like. email addy: [email protected]. I would like to see your black STi in person. I would like to take a few pics. I have a friend at work who is looking to buy a black one but is hesitating because of the gold specles in the paint. He has not yet seen a very good pic that shows the paint well enough. Please let me know about getting together.

Thanks, I live at 11 and Gratiot. Surely we could get together and or go to one of the meets one day. I have a ton of things to do this week and I will be up north for the weekend(almost every weekend). I know what your buddy is thinking about the black as the paint sample in the brochure doesn't show you much. I bought mine in this color sight unseen, but I am glad to say that I like it alot.If you want to stop by and take some pics for your friend I'll be around the house quite a bit the next few days, just let me know............

sorry m8 i havent been on in a while... Have been breaking in the new BABY!!! I just picked mine up on july 5th from Subaru of beachmont in Cincinati ohio. Call Cher or Ron Adare. I think they may have another available. He said there were three that came in on the same shipment as mine and there is not list there. I am not sure what the other 2 colors were though.

WOW another STI driving around here with a Beechmont license plate frame huh? And we all dealt with Cher. What side of town are you on? Maybe we'll all get together at one of the meets and send a picture of the gathering to Beechmont Subaru.

Hey Smig... I got it!!!!!!!!!! Just drove up from Cincy today with the Black STI.... Last one that they had. I worked with Cher and she was great. We had everything takin care of before I arrived. 330 miles on the breakin time..... (Smile).
Ok. We have STiffy, Smig, 1stScobby and myself all made the trip. I live on the west side Ford and Middlebelt. I also have MSN Messanger. Let me know if anyone wants to get together.

CONGRATS M8!!!... I would be up for a meet. I know of some other owners that meet on Tuesday in Novi. I think that they meet every Tuesday or at least that is what I have been told. I guess there are about 3 other STI owners that go there. Maybe we could meet there some time??
Also, I guess I was the first to enter the STi in a Detroit Region SCCA solo event today, well thats what the announcer said anyway. There were only 2 other cars in my class, an EVO and a 98 Vette (TAS is what I ran in case anyone is wondering). I beat the EVO by about a second but the Vette got me by .5sec I think. Since it was the first race with the car I think I did O.K. It is definately a lot different then my RS. Let me know if you guys want to meet. :lol:

The SCCA events are usually held on sundays. I think there are at least 3 more this year. If you go to www.myautoevents.com and search for solo 2 events in michigan you will find them.
