I have this "knocking" noise coming from underneath the car on the right front. It happens after you start driving the car for maybe five to ten minutes. You can feel the noise on the passenger side floor. I have Bilstein PSS9's, not even two years old and probably less than 6K miles on them.

I have checked the sway bar/end links as well. Any ideas??

^^^ I have not tried turning the spring by hand with the wheel off the ground. But even so, would this make a knocking noise? Thx ;)

Well what mine was doing was the spring would stick then break loose and I would hear the pop as I was turning. Also because it was not preloaded it would move from left to right slightly and pop. It was common. Ya know it was probably a manufacturers defect because my wife hit a pot hole and the spring broke. Then it was really poping and cracking.

Hmmm, mine does it whether you're turning or not. The direction of the noise indicates the coilover but the weird thing is no sound whatsoever after five to ten minutes of driving.

Well my buddy removed the coilover, cleaned the debris from the springs and re-installed it. Drove it around for 15 minutes and no noise.
