It would be more than a replacement if you want real HIDs.

I'm running a Phillips H7 conversion kit on my Celica. I've been nothing but happy with em.

i plan on dropping the cash and getting HID installed whenever the parts are available, this kind of car deserves them. untill then i am just going to stick with the stock setup.

I can't imagine there will be much to convert. I know it will probably cost an arm and a leg, but you should probably be able to buy the USDM parts and just plug em in.

perhaps the dash switch and running wire to the dash will be the worst part as far as messing around goes.

You guys up in Canada need to check the laws, I remember reading something in one of the threads here that aftermarket HIDs are not legal. The only HIDs that are legal are those that come stock, and since your version doesn't have them, well, you're screwed. :evil:

I don't think that is going to stop me.................... People break a lot more rules when it comes to emmisions which actually can do harm to others. Properly installed HID's are not going to make me have problems sleeping at night.

I've never had a problem with it. And if I did get pulled over for it, I'd point out that it is a full conversion from the 03 Celica which DOES have HIDs from the factory. With the necessary equipment, there are no grounds for a fine or fix-it.

I thought that on Canada you had to have Daytime Running Lights to have HIDs. Pretty obvious if there are no DRLs...
