I have always wanted a Subaru STI and got to a point where I could finally get one. Being that they released the sedan model for 2011 I got one as soon as possible. I like the hatchbacks, but I love the sedans. I hadn’t really had a car that I had done a lot of modifications to before so this was an experience for me and essentially this is will show what I have done so far and possibly my future plans. It is a little late in the game, but should hopefully be interesting none the less. I picked mine up on October 18th in 2011 and have been enjoying it ever since.

Most people like to have a goal for their car. Ultimately mine was a nice mix of power and aesthetics. Make a fun daily driver, even though I drive it less than most, and have a car that looks good (to me that is ☺).

Special Note

I would also like to give many thanks to my biggest supporter/sponsor RallySport Direct. I have a link below to all the write-ups we have done for some of the products that were put on the car. Also I would like to thank and recognize the other companies that participated in my personal build in the Sponsor section.

Had a few close-ups of the Bride Japan Vios III before I put it in. Reidetailing asked if I would share them, and figured everyone else may like to take a look as well. He has got a sweet SWP hatch, and I'm excited to see his build progress :)

Also sorry for the 'bokeh' pictures I had just gotten a new 50mm at the time and was testing it out :)

Bought the WeatherTec window visors and the way they mounted finally gave out. Fell out the window and cracked on the ground. Time to install the OEM Subaru!

WeatherTec after it fell out of the window

Awesome ride man, LOVE those wheels (almost bought them in 9.5 last week but settled on something else). Nice work!!! How do you like the fortune auto coils?

How do you like the Tomei 7960? I'm trying to do a bit of research on potential turbos. Judging by the dyno plot, it looks like the power comes on a bit late.

Thanks for the shout-out Jacob!

Most importantly, thank-you for taking the time to take those pictures for me and everyone else, they are really gorgeous seats!

I love where you are taking this car to...really excited to see the journey continue for you and the car Jacob!

Thanks :) I really like the wheels had them for a bit though and possibly looking at a new setup. Don't know when or what yet though haha. As for the coils I am pretty happy with them so far had them a little over a year now.

I'm pretty happy with it. I wasn't expecting to get a huge gain out of it as it isn't a huge amount larger than the OEM, but I feel like the power comes on nice and pulls pretty hard. I think the journal bearing may be what hurts the spool compared to a ball bearing turbo, but not entirely sure on that. To me though it feels like the power comes on pretty quick.

EDIT: I haven't tried a lot of different turbos to give an expert opinion though unfortunately.
