I just received my new Road and Track yesterday. There is a 4 page write up on tuning the WRX. They compare the stock, stock with STi suspension, 17's, etc., and the the Tommy Kaira totally tuned edition (including the stroked engine). They liked STi tuned model best for its abilities on the track and off.

Most interestingly, they mention that the STi is coming to the US in the middle of 2003.

Where I was...
My wife and I had our first child back around Memorial Day.
Plans for an STi changed to plans for a WRX. I spent alot more time on i-club as a result and figured out what I wanted in a WRX. Went to the dealer before the facelift was announced to make a deal. It fell through.
My wife and I have dealt with the 2 door well enough to focus back on waiting. And I think she likes the facelift better. Plus she knows I will be happier with the STi.
Now to make a deposit somewhere.

Glad it fell through. If you're like me you would only wonder if you had gotten the WRX....

Congrats on the new baby. That (as planned) will be 4 years from now.

Hey, I am quite possibly obsessed and addicted to this car. I will be the first to admit that.

Mid-2003 would put it right at May-June area that we have all been hearing about. However, I would not be surprised if it shows up in March...

Just like my WRX, the STi will make my snowboarding trips so much more fun...I enjoy getting to the resort as well as leaving almost as much as snowboarding itself
