I am in Alb too....white/gold. I think I saw you (Dwight) behind me the other day exiting I-40 onto San Mateo. I took a left, you gunned it past me. Third gear?... you were cooking right in the middle of that powerband...thats for sure. Could have been someone else, but thats the only silver/silver I have seen in town. I did get jiggy with a silver modded wrx on I-25 north about a month ago too. Very nice REX..hung with my Sti with no problems...maybe faster? I would be interested in meeting up with other owners out there too and will try to monitor the boards more. Cheers, Will

whatup Dwight....Saw the modded rex again tonight on wyoming / indian school. He saluted with a rev followed by a succesion of backfires. I'm 31 and I still think thats as cool as it gets. It's strange how that bug-eyed body seems like a classic already. Made me miss my rex a little. ah......good times. I'm going to take a run through the Jemez on Sunday hopefully. Let me know if you or anyone else that reads this is game. See you around.

sorry to hijack thread..will start a new one if more posts.

Hello fellow NM STi owners! Glad to see some of the fellow STi owners in ABQ posting. I have seen a few STi's around. Sadly, I must admit that my wife actually gets the car most days. The only way I could convince her to let me buy the STi was to let it be her daily driver. It didn't help that we traded in her mustang for it either. No way was she going to drive my truck!

No mods YET...White with silver - a meet sometime would be cool, possibly for a blast through the mountains or something.

Cool.

Hey guys, dont mean to bust in, but i've been noticing quite a few STi's in ABQ. Dont have mine yet. I need my dad to back me up with his credit (im 19) to get a good deal, and so far, i'm not getting anywhere with him. I'm thinking the only thing that would buy him over would be the $4k im getting for basic this summer for a down payment. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you would be so kind as to give me a ride in your STi, seeing as i've never been in one while the engine was on. Not asking to drive it though (I wouldn't trust a 19 year-old with my STi) Even riding shotgun would be an experience. Maybe we could meet somewhere someday?

BTW i'm driving an '04 cavy for now (cept dont tell it that, it thinks it's an STi) ok for now, i guess

Hello everyone from Albuquerque. My lease is expiring on my Boxster next year, and I was hoping someone would take me out for a good flogging in their STi. I am considering an STi or Honda S2000 mostly, but possibly others. I used to have a 2001 Santorin Blue S4 prior to my Boxster. I had a UNM plate on the S4, same with current Boxster. Please e-mail hjow at comcast dot net (put it together, spammers still get me though) if you're interested. I just bought a house with a two car garage and I am making my way around a long list of sports cars/sedans I want to try out. I graduated 2001 from UNM in CS and work at Honeywell now.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Hopefully this weekend I will ride in ST freakin i's WRX STi. Hey, is anyone on here the owner of a dark blue one with gold rims? I parked my Boxster next to you at Hurricane's on Eubank and Candelaria a week or two ago.

Doh, anyone else want to take me out for a ride in their STi? I can only offer free gas and a ride in my Boxster in exchange. Please e-mail me at hjow at comcast dot net if you're interested. I am offering a full tank of gas (91 octane), just don't show up running on fumes. :) Also hoping people on here know someone with an S2000 as well. I saw there was someone here from Santa Fe. I mostly go there to go clubbing, but perhaps we could meet up sometime?
