I don't even get paid on profit. I get a basic $250 per car. Nost sales people make 25-30%..., times that $3K markup ...

$3000 (markup)
$3000 (MSRP profit)
--------
$6000
X 25%
--------
$1500 just for the sales guys pocket!

Now that's a pay plan!

And just think of how generous you're being with YOUR money!!!

Just don't spend over MSRP, simple as that!

U know I just realized, that the difference between dealer and MSRP/buyer price goes into paying salaries of ALL employees, rent/lease/mortgage of a building, mechanics, bills for everything, etc, etc..

Passing of motorsports legend

Welcome to the world of business to all of you who are not on the owner end of the business world! But that doesn't mean I am going to pay above MSRP. Oh and amdmaxx you forgot insurance, that is usually the biggest in some ways. But seriously Jason, would Subaru bring in a car to the states at $45k. Everyone on this board had heart palpitations thinking the STI would be $34k?SFRinNJ

From what I read (I think from www.autoexpress.co.uk and www.thecarconnection.com , which also has spy pix) New Subaru STi will be around $45k and will compete directly with BMW 5 and MB E class..
much more upscale inside, plus 350+hp engine won't hurt either..
U right about toughness to bring/market 45k Subaru in USA, just like VW is gambling with Phaeton/Touareg... Looks like Phaeton will fail BADLY and Touareg truck will succeed..
I do hope Subaru brings that LEgary Stateswide..
