New guy intro/ IAG aos question

Hey all! I just purchased a 2015 STi launch edition. The guy I bought it from was a second owner and he blew up the first engine. He replaced it with an IAG stage 2 block (verified by riveted tag) and had some headwork done by a local and reputable machine shop. He had the cylinder 4 coolant mod done, IAG oil pickup and baffle installed as well. The chassis has 148k on it but the engine has 19k on it. During purchase negotiations I pointed out that the under side of the engine was considerably wet with oil. No blue smoke or any white smoke after startup. Coolant in the res looked good so I ended up dickering him down and purchased it. It's been tuned to 290hp (via dialed in performance in Rochester, NY) and the AFR gauge reads mid 10s at WOT.

Anyways, no dripping oil since purchase and oil change so my guess is the oil is either from the reuse of the old oil pan or the pcv system. I'm trying to install all reliability mods at this point so I bought the IAG AOS and a used grimmspeed TMIC. I went to to install the AOS last night but the directions for the 2015+ sti's doesn't match my car... I stopped the install and went in late last night and checked iags website and the 08-14 sti instructions seem like my engine... Am I missing something? Did my seller dupe me? I'll attach pics of my engine bay. The most notable things were the disconnects and electrical connections for the crossover pipe that I don't have, also the recirc pipe from the stock intake. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm pumped to be a part of this community!

I have a 16 engine in my 09...they are very similar overall
I guess I was just thrown off by the directions for the 15 and up on their website.
Welcome.
Aos should be the same install either way. Routing of lines may be slightly different but it’s the same engine in there since 04. I’m surprised they don’t have one prior. It used to be that iag required an aos to keep a warranty from them.

I’d also say to Sell the grimmspeed tmic. Your stock tmic will hold well into the 400s without any issue. Killer b has a bunch of data backing this up.

Thanks for the heads up, the plan is to get the AOS on today so I'll follow the one that fits the engine. The grimmspeed I got used online, I figured even if it lowers the IAT's a few degrees that'll give me more peace of mind to prevent detonation. It's going to a local and reputable shop on Tuesday for a compression and leak down test. Trying to make sure it's got a clean bill of health.

Got it installed with not too many hiccups. Used the other install manual. Intercooler was a bitch to get back on but she's all good. Leak down and compression tests came back spot on. Oil leaks aren't bad but will need to be addressed and looking to pull engine in the winter. Drops about 5-10 drips overnight on days I drive it so nothing agregious. Got a used Cobb exhaust and installed it over the invidia N1 that was on it. Got rid of drone and much better sound and look IMO. Here are some pics... Also... Today was cold and when I fired it up I noticed quite a bit more exhaust/condensation out the passenger side muffler vs the drivers side, is that pretty typical? Thanks again all!!!

It gets far faster and easier after you've done it a few times :) :) :)
Also, here is a pic of my AP after driving it around tonight, it was a tad colder today than it has been. The fine knock learn and feedback knock are a tad bit worse than usual (usually -1.4 or lower). Any cause for concern? The DAM was still holding steady at 1.

Disregard that last, obviously I'm completely ignorant when it comes to the AP and values. I'm going to learn how to clear and start logging then if anything seems fishy I'll post that.
